Who to contact about what
This is the part worth reading before you call, because it saves most people a phone call.
514loans is not a lender. We match your application with partner lenders, and a partner that accepts it provides and services the loan. So once a loan is running, the company that can actually help is the lender, not us.
| Your question | Who to ask |
|---|---|
| How the application works, what is needed | 514loans |
| Whether you qualify before applying | 514loans |
| What happened to an application you submitted | 514loans |
| Your balance, payment dates, payment amount | your partner lender |
| Changing or rescheduling a payment | your partner lender |
| Settling the loan early | your partner lender |
| A complaint about a loan you were given | your partner lender, then us |
If you are not sure which lender you were matched with, email [email protected] with the name and postcode on the application and we will tell you.
You can also sign in to the client portal to see your balance and payment schedule.
What we cannot do
Being direct about this saves time on both sides:
- We cannot approve or decline an application. Partner lenders make that decision on their own criteria.
- We cannot set or change your rate. The lender sets it within the 22% to 32% range described on this site.
- We cannot move a payment date or waive a fee on a loan that is already running. That is the lender’s agreement with you.
What we can do is explain the process, tell you what partner lenders look at, and point you to the right lender if you have lost track of who yours is.
Before you contact us
Several of the most common questions are answered in more detail elsewhere, and you may not need to wait for a reply:
- Frequently asked questions — what to bring, how fast money arrives, what a missed payment costs
- Bad credit loans — what partner lenders check instead of a credit score
- Loan terms and borrowing example — the full cost of borrowing, with a worked example
- About 514loans — how the service works and how it is paid
Complaints
If something has gone wrong with a loan, raise it with the partner lender first — they hold the agreement and are the party able to resolve it.
If you have done that and are not satisfied, or if your complaint is about 514loans itself rather than the loan, email [email protected] with the details and we will respond.
